In February 2016, the hacktivist group Anonymous published a hacktivist message in a video posted on YouTube. The video contains detailed examples of uses for various DDoS tools, and the video description contains a link to a zip file containing these tools. All of them are easy to use and have nice GUI menus. It’s not necessary to have any understanding of how the attacks actually work in order to operate the tools. This makes them very appealing to lay persons with little understanding of computer networking.
